Kansas’ jobless rate for the month of February is 6.8 percent. The jobless rate dropped .4 percent from January to February, but increased 1 percent from February of last year. Labor Secretary Jim Garner said there were positive signs in the economy.

A former Wichita school bus driver has pleaded guilty to fondling a 6 year old. Billy Reynolds pleaded guilty Thursday to four counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The incidents occurred for nearly four months. Reynolds was fired after his arrest and will be sentenced May 6.

John Coomer sued after he claims he was injured last summer after the Kansas City Royals mascot, Slugerrr flung a foil-wrapped hot dog that struck Coomer in the eye. Coomer is seeking more than 25,000 in damage, but may not see a dime. Coomer filed the lawsuit in Independence, Missouri. Kansas City Royals officials are claiming the lawsuit was filed in the wrong place and should be dismissed due to Coomer’s mistake.

THE DOG WILL ALSO HAVE TO WEAR A TAG THAT SIGNIFIES THE POOCH AS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUIS. CHARGES AGAINST HIS OWNER NANCY ENERLING WIILL BE DISMISSED IF WINSTON FINISHES THE CLASSES WITHOUT ANOTHER MISHAP.

A FRENCH HACKER SAYS HE MEANT NO HARM AFTER HACKING IN TO TWITTER. THE FRENCH MAN SAID HE ONLY DID SO TO SHOW HOW VULNERABLE ONLINE DATA SYSTEMS ARE TO BREAK-INS. HE CALLS HIMSELF A NICE HACKER. BEFORE HE WAS ARRESTED, HE LOOKED AT PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA, BRINTEY SPEARS, AND LILLY ALLEN’S TWITTER ACCOUNTS. IF CONVICTED, THE MAN COULD FACE UP TO TWO YEARS IN PRISON AND A FORTY-THOUSAND DOLLAR FINE.
